Intuitive Machines’ lunar lander called Odysseus sent back its first images shortly after separating from its SpaceX rocket on February 16, 2024.
The images included a view of Earth, some selfies of the Odysseus lander, and the SpaceX rocket’s second stage falling away in the distance.
Odysseus is on a journey to the Moon and is scheduled to attempt to land on February 22. So far it has passed key milestones and its engine has fired successfully.
