Exclusive: Top U.S. general makes unannounced Middle East trip as Iran threat looms

– Salami gave a speech on June 29th where he warned Israel that its activities will not go unanswered and that Iran and its allies are ready to respond.

– Israeli officials believe this was in relation to an alleged Iranian-backed plan by Hezbollah to carry out drone strikes against Israeli targets from Syria in the coming days.

– Israel launched a preemptive strike on July 1st targeting Hezbollah operatives and Iranian Quds Force members it claimed were involved in assembling the attack plans near Damascus.

– According to the report, Salami’s comments vowing revenge against Israel were made just days before this planned Hezbollah attack, indicating top Iranian leaders were aware and supportive of Hezbollah’s operational plans.
