The LaFerrari successor is here: meet the 1,183bhp, V6 hybrid Ferrari F80

– Ferrari is working on the successor to the LaFerrari hybrid hypercar dubbed the Ferrari F80.

– It will feature an upgraded 6.5-liter V6 engine producing over 800 horsepower on its own, paired with two electric motors for a total output of over 1,180 horsepower.

– The V6 engine will rev much higher than current Ferrari engines, to around 9,000 rpm. It will have a flat-plane crankshaft for improved sound.

– The hybrid system will allow the car to run purely on electric power for short distances. It can do 0-62 mph in under 2.5 seconds and have a top speed over 211 mph.

– The car will be lighter than the LaFerrari thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber and new production techniques. Only around 500 will be built.

– It will debut officially in 2023 but some early prototypes are already being tested on track. The F80 aims to be even faster than the LaFerrari and be the new top dog in Ferrari’s lineup.
